Main Street Grill

Happy Sunday! It's been quite a while since I posted and I do apologize for that. I have had some unfortunate events happen that has taken some time to come back from. However, I am back now and ready to tell you about these amazing places we have been.

Speaking of AMAZING places...This little hole in the wall diner gets 5 stars! As many of you are well aware of, my husband and I travel all over Ohio for breakfast every Sunday morning. Today we decided to go to Crestline Ohio and visit the Main Street Grill. Home of the Crestline Bulldogs! This diner has a lot of heart and fantastic wait staff to go alone with it.

When we went inside it was very warm and welcoming and one of the waitstaff, said to have a seat anywhere with a huge smile. That my friends was a refreshing site.

We found ourselves a seat in the back so as to keep out of the cold of the door. We were quickly given menus and our drinks. What service! Our waitress, Cheryl, was very helpful and pleasant. She made sure the hubby had coffee and it was fresh and hot.

Ok...on to the food. Now you all know the wonderful man in my life has a huge appetite. And today was no exception. He ordered the Biscuit Bowl. This wonderful creation has a dinner plate sized biscuit on the bottom covered with hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese and smothered with sausage gravy. Don't forget the wheat toast. I didn't think he would be able to finish this delectable delight but he finished every last bite. And.....loved it!

I, on the other hand LOVE my Eggs Benedict! I cannot get enough of them. Especially if they are made correctly. In the picture you can see the ham is deli sliced and the eggs are not poached. I was a little skeptical at first but with that first bite...yep...I was in love. The eggs were done medium well and the ham was cooked on the grill and brought out the flavor nicely. I am now a HUGE fan of the eggs being cooked medium well. The english muffin was toasted perfectly. Put all this together and top it with the BEST Hollandaise sauce and you got yourself a treat. I have had many Eggs Benny and in my opinion, I would have to rank this as a close #2.

On a side note, we hope our blog has helped people go out and experience Sunday breakfast for themselves and enjoy being together WITHOUT your face in your phone constantly. Have a conversation with your waitress, your hubby, your kids. Get to know the people around you. That is what life is about. Enjoy each other and don't forget to tip you waitstaff. Now go out....eat.....have fun! Bon Appetit.
